As is well know, when senior students graduate from school, most of their textbooks are thrown away , that are still in good condition. What waste of it ! I quite agree to the suggestion that we should recycle these textbooks. For one thing, recycling textbooks can save a lot of nature materials, which are used to making textbooks. For other, senior students may have plenty of usefulnotes on the pages. They are very helpful to those textbooks users. However, the cost of the books will unload some burden of the families of the students. Actually in Australia and some other countries, recycling textbooks are popular and that it gives us a good example. Why can’t they have a try?

My parents decided try a new Western restaurant last weekend, so I went with them. The evening started well and the menu looks good. I had soup with my starter but the waiter didn't bring a spoon so it was getting a bit cold after I could eat it. Then, for our main course, I had a piece of beef. Yang Li, a five-year-old girl living next door to me, very clever. Because she is not old enough to go to the school, she often asks me to teach herself to read, write and draw. She studies hardly and soon she learns a lot. One evening last month I was doing my English homeworks when she came to my house. She asked me how I learned English. “You would find English a bridge for so many knowledge,” I said. She then wanted to learn English, either. When I first learn to write in English, I ran into much difficulties. The main problem was that I always thought in Chinese and tried to translate everything that I came across it while I was reading into my own language. My teacher advised myself to keep a diary. I followed his advices and put down 100 words or so each day.
Soon I began to enjoy talk to myself as I was learning to express myself with simple English. One day I wrote a story and showed to my teacher. He liked it very much that he read it to the class. All said that the story was a good one. Their words were an great encouragement to me.
