Grandma Moses was crazy about painting soon before she picked it up and worked hard at it．She painted careful and her works were nice．She first painted only to please oneself, and then began to sell her works with a little money．In 1993, a collector, Louis Caldor happen to see several of Grandma Moses’ work hanging in a shop．He liked them, buying them at once, and set out to look for less．Caldor held a show to introduce the works of Grandma Moses other artists．Grandma Moses, who was world-famous, was died on December 13, 1961, at the age of 101．

I love camping. It’s my favorite way to spent the summer vacation. Last year, my family and I went camping in the countryside. It was one of the most excited experiences I had never had. How are you? Today I’ve got a wonderful news to tell you. I have offered a scholarship at a university in Australia for my further education. One hundred and twenty students take exams for it, but only a few was chosen and I was one of them. Therefore, my parents are not happy about it. They are strong against me. They say it is too far away that they will not see me for a whole year and they are afraid that I will feel lonely. They can’t imagine a girl so young living alone. They advise me to studying in the capital instead. Then I’ll be able to continue living with him. How can I persuade them to accept the fact what I have grown up?

In your last letter, you told me something about your sister’s surfing on the Internet. I’m familiar to your situation. As computers become more and more popular, some students cannot help play online games and chatting. It is not only a problem of wasting time, but serious problem for their future! What you should do at first is to find out what make her addicted to computer games. Lack of love from parent ? Poor scores? Then having a heart-to-heart talk with her. Last summer, I was working at home a sunny day. For some reasons I went around to the front of the house to get anything. As I did so, I feel drops of rain on my face, that soon developed into a heavy shower. A few minute later, I went to the back of the house but realized that it was not raining at all there. It was raining only at the front and not at the back. I stood in the hallway, look one way––heavy rain and the another way––sunny and dry. Soon, the rain stopped complete. Up until then, I’d never seen such a strange weather.
