In autumn of 1985, when I was a young man, I was traveling in the north of India. An evening, after hunting in the forest all day, I was returning to the place which I had put up my tent. It was getting dark, but I was walking along a road. Suddenly I saw two eye glaring at me from among the trees. What can I do? Should I jump into the river save my life? Then I looked at the right. In the river there had a big crocodile(鳄鱼) waiting to welcome me with its mouth was wide open.

Dear Brown,
Last summer I take a part-time job in the International Camp for children. I have been told one more worker will be needed in this year and I think you are fit to it. How about join us? The camp is at the foot of a small hill close to a river. It is so a beautiful place! We can hear birds singing happy all around. Everybody sleeps in tents, that is very exciting. We usually work only five hours a day, so we will have plenty of spare time visit the area and have a fun. I am sure it will be an unforgettable experience. One day, Mrs. White went to the car park to get her car. While she got to the car park, she found that someone stolen her car. So he rushed to the police station and told the police about it. Meanwhile, the next morning, the car was in its usual parking place in the car park. Inside the car is a note, “We are sorry that we stole your car. We really needed for an emergency trip to the hospital. Please receive these two tickets for Saturday’s show at the Great Theater.” Mrs. White’s husband said, “Criminals are a lot more politely nowadays. They are educated people.” So they went to the show. When they returned home, there was something left in the house except a note saying that, “Hope you enjoyed the show!”

The Mid-autumn Festival, that is one important traditional festival in China,
falls in August 15^th of the lunar calendar every year. It was celebrated both in China
and many Asian country. People believe that a full of moon is the symbol of reunion and
good luck. This is also a custom to express best wishes to their beloved ones at this
particularly time. On that day they usually go back home to have a family get-together,
so they appreciate the beautiful full moon, enjoyed the typical food—the moon cake.
All Chinese have wonderful time at the festival.
