I like music very much, pop songs particularly. Every evening then I am doing homework and at weekends when I at home, I always play some of my favorite songs on my tape recorder. Last week I went to visit to my former neighbor, Mr. Yang. He and I used to living next to
each other for many years. About half a year ago, an order came which the old building, along
with many other similar ones, were going to be pulled down to make room for a main street.
So I had to move apart. Mr. Yang now lives in the suburbs near a beautiful park. His new
apartment is much big than before. The only problem is that it took quite a long time to get to
the downtown area. Therefore, Mr. Yang doesn’t seem to worry about the long distance. He
says that new subway line is to be built in a few year and he is sure life will be better in
the future.

Dear Mr. Li,
I’m very sorry to have missed the first two lesson this morning. I got up early as usually in the morning, but when I was ready to leave I find my bicycle’s front tyre（轮胎）flat. I wanted to take bus or taxi to school, and I didn’t have any money with me. I had to look for a place along the street to get my bicycle repairing. Unluckily, there were not any bicycle repair shops were open in the early morning. So I had to walk to school, carrying my bicycle all the way. That’s how I was late for school.
Please don’t worry with my lessons, Mr. Li. I will make up for it and turn to teachers for help if necessary.
