More people are buying tickets over the phone or the Internet for travel and other things. Not only are people doing their shopping electronically (电子地), but also many businessmen are giving “electronic tickets” or “e-tickets (电子机票)” to the buyers.
The most common use for electronic tickets today is for air travel. Airlines have surely removed paper tickets by asking more money for them than for electronic tickets. Although some companies offer the choice to buy tickets online, these tickets aren’t electronic, because they can be used by anyone holding the ticket for travel or entrance.
Electronic tickets are usually bought online, over the phone or from travel businessmen. A system online or over the phone will tell you that the ticket is electronic, and will ask you to offer some personal information depending on its requirements (要求). You’ll receive a confirmation (确认) number showing your buying. You should keep this number.
The system will also tell you what must be shown at the time of travel or the event. Photo identification, such as ID card, confirmation numbers and credit cards (信用卡) will probably be required. Make sure that you have the right ID. On the day of the travel or the visit, it will be used often.

Chuck Wall teaches management and human relations at Bakersfield College. He walked into class one day and told his students that their homework was to perform one act of random(任意的) kindness. His students did not understand the homework and didn’t know what to do, but the professor would not answer their questions. He encouraged his students to work it out for themselves.
One week later, the students entered the classroom excited to share their stories. One student told of giving away blankets to the homeless. Another reported on helping a dog to find its owner, and another student had been trying to find a long, lost friend. Students were energized (给予活力) by the homework assignment and wanted other people to be kind too. With the support of local businesses, the students made stickers to put on cars that invited people to do something kind for others. They sold the stickers and decided to donate the money to a center for the blind---not surprising as Professor Wall is blind.
Since then, similar kindness activities have been started in schools around the world. Many schools organize a Random Acts of Kindness Week, around November 13th, to celebrate World Kindness Day. Some schools use each day of Random Acts of Kindness Week to perform a different kind act, such as making a new friend, helping someone, doing community service, or raising money for a charity. Many people have a fear(害怕) of public speaking. According to a study, it has an influence on 3 in every 4 people. This fact is surprising and worrying, as most jobs require some speaking ability. The following will help you to make a speech better.
Write note cards. Write main ideas on your cards. Don’t write details. Put in some fun facts, questions, and other activities on the cards to share with the class. Don’t look at your note cards for a long time while speaking. If necessary, you’re only going to want to have a quick look at the card for information, not read every last word.
Smile at your class. When it comes time to speak, there’s nothing that draws your class into your speech than a good old-fashioned smile. Be happy, because you’re about to teach your class something they didn’t know before. Studies have shown that smiles are infections. That means once you smile, it’s hard for everyone else not to smile. So if you want your speech to go off well, smile. That’ll make everyone smile and maybe those smiles will make you actually smile.
Make eye contact. Nothing is more boring than listening to a speaker who looks at the floor or at note cards. Relax. Your class is made up of your friends and you talk to them all the time. Talk the same way now. have a look at every person in the classroom at least once. That way, everyone will feel like you’re communicating with them. Also, you’ll look like you know what you’re talking about.
Use hand motions. Move your hands along as you talk, using them to express your key points and keep the class interested. It will also lead your nervous energy into a better place.According to the passage, ______ of people might fear to speak in public.
