Last week I went to visit to my former neighbor, Mr. Yang. He and I used to living next to
each other for many years. About half a year ago, an order came which the old building, along
with many other similar ones, were going to be pulled down to make room for a main street.
So I had to move apart. Mr. Yang now lives in the suburbs near a beautiful park. His new
apartment is much big than before. The only problem is that it took quite a long time to get to
the downtown area. Therefore, Mr. Yang doesn’t seem to worry about the long distance. He
says that new subway line is to be built in a few year and he is sure life will be better in
the future.

I’m very sorry to have missed the first two lesson this morning. I got up early as usually in the morning, but when I was ready to leave I find my bicycle’s front tyre（轮胎）flat. I wanted to take bus or taxi to school, and I didn’t have any money with me. I had to look for a place along the street to get my bicycle repairing. Unluckily, there were not any bicycle repair shops were open in the early morning. So I had to walk to school, carrying my bicycle all the way. That’s how I was late for school.

Many times when I was at a bad mood I shouted at the people around me. I scream, shouted and ran as fast as I could relieve my pressure. So it was useless,since I still had to return to the problem. This term I begin to change. I have realized however greater the difficulty is, I have to face with it. It’s no use screaming and shouting at others. Beside, there are teachers and friends around me who are ready to helping me. As long as I try my best, I can make a progress in any aspect. Now I feel every day is a pleasant day and the sun is always shining bright on my face.

Rose wanted a job. She went to many offices and she didn’t like any of them. One day she saw a board in an office read: “This office needs a typist whom can type 200 words a minute.” Rose was exciting. She then went to the manager’s office. Rose knocked at the door and the manager raised her head. “Do you need a typist?” asked Rose. “Yes!” he said. Rose clapped(拍) her hand and asked, “OK! How much will you pay for me every month?” The manager thought for a while and said, “I will pay you 77 dollars for first three months.
