Dear Editor,
I’m a senior high school student, named Li Hua. Now many students
have iPods and think it’s a fashion to use it. Using an iPod , we can listen
to music, downloading a lot of learning materials and read them on the
screen. Apparently, it is helpful to our study, specially to our English listening.
Some students, however, take their iPods to the classroom and listen to
music with earphones, which make the teacher and other students greatly
annoyed. What’s worse, some of them even waste the precious time in class
playing video games.
In my opinion, as students, we shall make good use of iPod to
help achieve academic successes. Classroom is a place for students to
study, and therefore concentration awfully needed for us to learn
our lessons. Furthermore, the school should make a rule to guide the
students to use iPods in a proper way.

I went to see the film after supper. On my way to the
cinema, I met an English woman, she lost her way.
I gave up the chance see the film and took her to her
hotel. While go there, I told her about great changes
that had been taken place in the past few years
and she had told me something about her country.
Although I missed the film, but I still felt very happy, for
I not only helped her out of trouble but practiced
my spoken English. If I had not worked hard on
English, I would not have been able to help him.

At the age of ten, I went on a school trip with my class to the zoo in Beijing. We left home very earlier in the morning because they had a long journey. This morning, after I finished my homeworks, I decided to go to the cinema to see a film. I was about to arrive while I found a foreigner standing on the side of the road, looking nervously. Then I came up to him to see what was the matter about him. However, none of us could understand each other. At the last, we managed to make ourselves understand with the help of body language. The foreigner wanted go to People’s park. I stopped a taxi and told the driver to drive me there. Then I ran to the cinema as fast as I could and have a good time.
I came across with an old man in rags the other day, he was begging for a living. To be frank, I didn’t know how I ought to give him some money. On the one hand, I am not born in a rich family.
