In our school we always find that some students dressed in Nikes, enjoying McDonald’s and crazy about NBA games. Lily, a Senior Three girl, her life is flooded with product from the USA, is one of them. When asking about her feelings towards the Western superpower, she is not surely. A recent survey show that four in five Chinese students generally like Americans, but three in five agree with that the US is trying to control China. I'm writing to express my interest for the tourist guide position offering in your advertisement．
I’ve learned English for so long that can communicate with native speakers of English without difficult．What’s more，I’ve worked as a guide ago and know all the tourist attractions in my hometown very well．
I’ll be available during the winter vacation，from Feb．10 to March 10，but I don’t have any problem working evenings and weekends．As for the best places to visit，the first two that comes into my mind are Qufu， Confucious’birthplace，and Weishan Lake，a largest lake in North China．

It is five years now since I graduate from No. 3 High School. Last Saturday, the class that I was on held a get-together, which took us a long time prepare. I saw an accident happened on my way to home this afternoon. A girl was crossing the street on a zebra crossing while a young man drove a motorbike towards her. The young man saw the girl but tried to stop, but he drove too fast to stop. He hit the girl and fell off her motorbike. The girl was bad hurt and couldn't move. The young man didn't know how to do. I ran to a phone box nearby and dialed 110. Soon the police arrived They send her to the nearest hospital at once. One of the policeman talked to the young man and wrote something down while was talking. I think it is very dangerous to drive very fast.

American scientists say they believe that when trees can warn each other to danger. They do it by sending out chemical into the air. The studies carried out by scientists confirmed the theory announcing by the National Science Foundation. The scientists say they find that when trees are under attack by disease or pests, near trees take the same defensive actions like the trees being attacked. And they say it appears that the trees being attacked may produce send out chemicals to warn the others trees. What amazing it is!
