My holiday is coming. Yesterday I asked my friends about the best way to travel in the USA. They said the best way was to go by bus and told me the reasons.
To fly, of course, is the fastest way, but you can't see anything during your stay in the air but the blue sky and white clouds. So it's not very interesting to you. And the cost is very high.
To travel by train is relaxing, because you can walk and buy food and drinks on it. You can also see cities and the countryside through the windows. But sometimes it's crowded on the train. And it's hard to buy train tickets during holidays.
To travel by bus is easy, cheap and convenient, though not so fast as travelling by plane or so comfortable as by train. You can find buses almost in every city, big or small. That makes travel easy.
I took their advice. So I decided to take a bus to the south coast for an interesting trip.

Do you ever wish you were as thin as a model(模特) or as strong as your favourite football player? Maybe you wish you were taller or just thinner a little. Those thoughts are a natural part of growing up.
But learning what you can and can't change about your body is part of growing up, too. It can be hard to do. But when people accept the way they look, they often feel happier.
Some children worry that they're not growing and developing as fast as their friends. It's important to know that puberty(青春期) doesn't happen at the same time for every child. And there are no special medicines that can make it happen sooner!
Eating healthy foods and exercising more can make all children feel better. Why? Because they will help you feel energetic (精力充沛的) and keep your body working just the way it should be.
Watching TV and playing computer games can be fun, but they don't do much for your body because you sit when you do them.
But when you move your body﹣by playing, dancing, taking part in sports, or even cleaning your room﹣you exercise your muscles(肌肉). When you exercise the muscle, it gets stronger. And when you have strong muscles, you can do whatever you want to do!
根据短文内容,回答问题(1﹣4),英译汉(5).
(1)When do people often feel happier about their bodies according to the passage?
(2)What do some children worry about in the third paragraph?
(3)Why do not watching TV and playing computers do much for your body?

The first Chinese actor captured (征服) the hearts of many Chinese in the USA. He read a letter by Zhuge Liang(181~ 234)to the emperor of Shuhan during the Three Kingdoms(220~280)period in the new season of Growling Tiger and Roaring Dragon(《虎啸龙吟》)
The letter has been read by so many students. We would never have thought that the text written in old Chinese could be so beautifully read in another language. As a result, foreigners begin to show interest in Rommance of the Three Kingdoms, translated bt C.H. Brewitt﹣Tailor and Robert E. Hegel.
Earlier in November 1979, pupils in England were able to watch a new TV program called Monkey. Most of them were hearing the story for the first time. However, the story of the Monkey King isn't new to Chinese Children in the traditional Chinese book Journey to the West.
As soon as the TV programme came out more than 30years ago, western children became interested in reading this story because the clever Monkey King keeps fighting to help the weak and never gives up.
Chinese scholars(学者) should do a better job of introducing Chinese literature(文学) to the rest of the world. At the same time, we could encourage western schools to try something different.
Reading international literature is an effective way of understand other people in the world. And the more we understand each other, the more beautiful the world will be.

Tony never eats fish. This is not because he is allergic(过敏) to fish as food. He simply does not like the taste of it. You may not think this quite surprising, until I tell you that he has been a fisherman of one kind or another for most of his life.
At first, fishing was just a hobby. He used to sit on the river bank with his fishing rod(鱼竿) in his hand, waiting to feel the pull on the line. It meant a fish was trying to get the food from the hook(鱼钩). He wound(收回) the line as soon as possible and took the hook from the fish's mouth, recorded its size in a notebook, then threw it back into the water.
Later, he used to go to sea on his friend's fishing boat. Instead of throwing back the fish they caught, his friend took them home, where his wife cooked them or put them in the fridge for future meals.
