When 24-year-old Hannah Brencher moved to New York after college, she was hit by loneliness. One day she felt so that she want to reach out to someone. And so she put pen to paper and started writing letters-letters to complete .
But these weren’t letters about how she was feeling. There were happy letters, all about the other person, not her. She would write messages for people to have a “ day " and tell strangers how brilliant they were, they thought no one else had noticed. Brencher began dropping the all over New York, in cafes, in library books, in parks and on the subway. It made her letter, knowing that she might be making somebody’s through just a few words. It gave her to focus on. And so, The Word Needs More Love Letters was born.
The movement is all about letters—not emails, but handwritten letters. Not love letters, written to a real beloved, but letters for strangers. They don’t necessarily say “I love you”, but they are kindness—telling people they are remarkable and and all-round amazing. It’s the sort of stuff that most people don’t really say out loud even to the people they , let alone a total stranger.
Brencher’s initiative(初衷) has now . There are more than 10,000 people who join in all over the world. Last year, she gave a talk. In it, she talked about a university student who dropped letters around her campus, only to suddenly everyone was writing them and there were love letters hanging from the trees.
It’s a very cute idea. I know that if I was on the end of a letter like that, it almost certainly would put a on my face. So I decided to give it a try and see if I could do the same for someone else.

Have you ever not wanted to do something so badly that you would rather die than go? Well that’s how I about joining Madcaps, a mothers and daughters club assisting philanthropies（慈善事业）.But now I believe that you open up your mind to things because eventually you might end up enjoying it.
“It’s a waste of time”, I said when my mom told I had to join Madcaps, and then when she said I had to at a homeless shelter I thought this just could not be .
We got there late, of course, and the security guard led us to the kitchen we ran into 48 other fellow Madcaps members. Since I’m so socially awkward（糟糕的） I had met only one person at a pool party, earlier this year. I looked around for her but she was not there. Damn, I was ! When the man in charge came out and asked for 3 mothers to work outside the to clean up the plates, my mom just happened to volunteer leaving me to food with others.
Soon the families started to walk in and a little girl walked up and pointed to the food I was I gave her the cold sandwich, she nodded in a form of saying , and then walked to join her family at the large table.
As she walked away I thought of how much I I get to go the top schools. I have a great house and I have a warm meal every night. It that little girl to make me realize how lucky I am. After that moment I had a change of . Now, I love Madcaps and don’t miss one meeting, I have being socially awkward and now have many friends. And this year I am sure I will do the required 20 hours of philanthropies.
I believe that if you have an mind about things you can accomplish more and become a better rounded person. I believe sometimes you can make a difference just doing one thing you don’t want to do .

Last weekend I was out walking with my dog. She loves wandering around and seeing we meet, so it becomes a social walk rather than an exercise.
Then we 0ur neighbour who was preparing to sell her house. She was busy getting ready for her open house（看房时间）that afternoon . After talking a little we went our separate ways .I could tell it was a(n) day for her.
After I got home, I quickly some of the wonderful lavender（薰衣草) in my garden
Wonderful! They smelled good and the purple were so pretty. I wrapped some packing paper around the bunch and it to my neighbor for her open house. I loved her expression she saw me there with a bunch of lavender! It made me happy. It made her stop and take a deep and maybe reduced her stress for a second
The next day I had a note in my mailbox from my neighbor thanking me for my . She said everybody commented on how wonderful her house smelled She said the 0f kindness I showed helped some of the stress she was feeling. Her note was like a big hug to me.
Never that it's the gift from the heart that is the most .I think sometimes we hesitate（犹豫) to do the acts of kindness because we may think they aren't anything but actually they are probably the best gift

Even though Danish students have equal access to education, their choice of studies is still influenced by social class. Young people from working class backgrounds are by studies with a clear job profile侧面，半面，外形，轮廓and high income, prestige and studies with a strong identity interest young people of parents with university degrees when choosing which studies to . This is what researchers from the University of Copenhagen in a new study. Students who have chosen to study medicine, architecture, economy and sociology often come from homes where the parents have higher education, whereas business studies and pharmacy often young people with a working class background. This is by a research team from the University of Copenhagen and Aalborg University in a new study.
“There is a between the studies chosen by young Danes and their background. Even for the young people who have very good grades in their A-level exams, and who could successfully admission to a large variety of studies, the parents’ of education and social class play an important role in their choice,” says Education Sociologist Jens Peter Thomsen, who is one of the researchers behind the study.
The study “The Educational Strategies of Danish University Students from Professional and Working-Class Backgrounds” is 60 interviews with Danish students from six different university level study programmes: Medicine, architecture, sociology, economy, pharmacy and business studies.
The young people bring with them the they get from their families. If you grow up in a home with parents who are doctors or architects with a strong professional , it is an obvious choice to follow the path as your parents when you grow up.
“For young people whose parents are university educated, such as fame and mastery of expert knowledge are important. They are by an educational culture in which you are a diligent student, and where leisure activities are to the identity that lies within your studies. These young people have also grown up with discussions around the dinner table which also prepare them for their lives as students,” says Jens Peter Thomsen.
He also added, “Young people who come from a working class background, and have good grades have to the full range of opportunities they have. But the effort to reach this goal must start early”.

Bowen was grown-up, and for his birthday that year his father gave him a without any pictures in it!
Bowen’s father found he was not about it, and told him, “Son, this isn’t just any book; it’s a magic (有魔力的) book. But to discover its magic you’ll have to it.”
Well, that was better. Bowen liked to do with magic. He started reading it, he wasn’t very willing to.
The next morning, his asked him, “Have you found the magic ?”
So… there was a key to find! Bowen flicked through (快速翻阅) the book, but there was no of the key.
And then his father him, “You won’t find it like that. You have to read the book. ”
Bowen didn’t have much patience (耐心) , thinking his father just told a .A little later, his little sister, Rainer, asked him the book. After several days, she shouted, “I’ve found the key! ” And she wouldn’t stop all the places she had visited using the magic key.
This made Bowen read the book again. At first it was a ; there wasn’t even one single in the book. But, gradually, Bowen became the adventurous (冒险的) prince’s life. Then, suddenly, he was there.
The book was the key!
It was true that every time he it, he felt going to its valleys and seas, and he lived the adventures of the prince.
From then on, with every new book, Bowen never being attracted by the letters and words inside.

My father brought home a sailboat when I was ten, and almost each Sunday in summers we would go sailing. Dad was quite skilled in sailing, but not good at __. As for me, I __ both well before twelve because of living close to Lake Ontario.
