More than 30,000 drivers and front seat passengers are killed or seriously injured each year. At the speed of only 30 miles per hour, it is the same as falling from a third-floor window. Wearing a seat belt(安全带) saves lives; it reduces your chance of death or serious injury by more than half in traffic accidents.
So drivers or front seat passengers over 14 years old in most vehicles(车辆) must wear a seat belt. If you do not, you could be fined(罚金) up to £50. It will not be up to the drivers to make sure you wear your belt. But it will be the driver’s duty to make sure that children under 14 do not ride in the front unless they are wearing a seat belt of some kind.
However, you do not have to wear a seat belt if you are reversing your vehicle(倒车); or if you are a postman using a special vehicle; or if you have a valid medical certificate which allows you not to wear it. Make sure about all the above before you decide not to wear your seat belt. Remember you may be taken to the police station for not doing so.

Many teenagers feel that the most important people in their lives are their friends. They believe that their families don't know them as well as their friends do. In large families, it is quite often for brothers and sisters to fight each other and then they can only go to their friends for some ideas. It is very important and necessary for teenagers to have one good friend or a group of friends.
Even when they are not with their friends, they usually spend a lot of time talking among themselves on the phone. This communication with friends is very important in children's growing up, because friends can discuss something difficult to say to their family members.
However, parents often try to choose friends for their children. Some parents may even stop their children form meeting their good friends. Have you ever thought of the following questions?
