My best friends gave me a present in a box on my birthday. It was a little heavy,which made me very curiously. So I intended to open it at once but she prevented me do so. She said I mustn’t open it until I went back home but gave me a naughty smile. Although there is a strong desire in my mind to know that was inside the box,
I just did as she said. On the way to home, all I did was thinking about the puzzle.Finally I opened the box. It was a cup printing with a pink word — friendship.It was so lovely that I liked very much.Now, every time I use a cup, I will think about her and the friendship between us.

I went back to our hometown with my parents during the National Day holidays. We spent three hours on the train after a bus took us to the small village.
My grandparents were so glad to see us back home that they prepare a lot of delicious food. We had big dinner with some relatives lived nearby. Later, my grandfather showed us around the village. To our great surprised, great changes have been taken place during the last few years. A lot of two-storeyed houses have been built but young trees have been planted. The remote village has taken a completely new look.
It is clearly that the life of common people is getting better and better, that made us very pleased.

This afternoon 1 went to see my grandfather by a bus．It was very crowded and I had to stand．Besides me，there was a woman hold a little boy in her arms．In front of her, a young man occupies two seats，pretending to be sleeping．I heard the little boy curious asking his mother, “What’s wrong with the uncle?” I had thought if perhaps the woman would blame the man．Beyond her expectations，the woman answered with a smile，“Be quiet．This uncle must very tired because of hard work．”The young man must have heard the word．His face turned red but offered one seat to the woman at once．

With more and more cars come into our families, we are happy that it has greatly improved our life. But unlucky, it has also brought many problems, such heavy traffic and traffic accidents.
Traffic safety is everybody’s business. We must obey the rules. For examples, we must walk on the sidewalks. When we cross zebra–crossing, stop and look right and left, and then go across fast. Don’t play the football on the road. Beside, we can tell our parents not to drink before we drive, not to run through red lights, not to use cell-phones while driven etc.
We can say cars are coming into our life, but only when everybody thought traffic safety is his or her business can we be safe driving on roads and walk on sidewalks.

The news which the English Entrance Examination will be reformed has caused a big “earthquake” in our country. Many people, included students, are for it. But there are also some people are against it. Then, is it better to do so or not? Personally, I think the reform has between advantages and disadvantages. On the one hand, it can reduce students’ learn burden and enable English to return back to its true function. On the other hand, it will cause students to spend less time on studying English and to attached less importance to English. If so, students will not have a good knowledge of English. What’s more, if students don’t have so a good ability, they will not be able to broaden our horizon and meet the future challenges.
