Five Ways to Instantly Rid Yourself of Needless Worry
A while back, I had a great day and everything was going exactly as I wanted.I was meeting tons of new people and everything was amazing.I felt like I've accomplished a lot. Then suddenly, like an unexpected swift jab, someone made a small remark about me.I felt hurt and the worry began flowing in.Over the years, I've developed belief systems that help me get rid of these worries.I want to share these with you.______ It just isn't possible to get everyone to like you.Trust me, I've tried. This only leads to disappointment on a daily basis, since you can't possibly live up to the entire world's expectations. Here's a new goal for you instead if you really want to get rid of worry and unhappiness from your life.Focus on what you think of yourself.Who cares what that stranger thinks? If you're happy with who you are and you know what weaknesses you should fix then forget about the world.Life is bigger than trying to look awesome; life is about actually being awesome.
______ The first thing I ask myself is, will this negative thought affect me in the future at all? Is it going to decrease my quality of life somehow? More often than not, it's just something I'll soon forget about anyway. So I put myself into the future by a couple of days and imagine myself. In this vision, I realize that I won't be bothered by something so small and I most likely wouldn't even remember it.A lot of times, just the idea of it fleeting away very soon is enough for me to block out these disturbances.
______ When I feel like I'm inadequate based on the need for approval from others, I begin to do some self-reflect on my achievements.I think about how much I've improved in the past year.I've met amazing people, developed active listening skills, and started something I've been thinking about for the past two years.Looking further back, I transformed from a socially awkward kid to a socially lively and confident person. All thanks to mental skills that I consciously yield.I was blessed with true fortunes that others do not have; I was blessed with the gift of self-improvement.
_______ Write anywhere you can, whether it's in a blog, in your journal, or on a post-it note that you can throw dramatically into the ocean.Get those worries out onto paper.Look at it, assess its importance, then tear it, burn it, or throw it into the ocean like I just said. You can then look back at that paper you just destroyed and laugh at how ridiculous you were being.Who cares if that lady looked at you strangely? Who cares that someone may have noticed stains on your new white sneakers? Write all of that, then destroy it.
_____ Finally, just reflect on how short life is; focus on how life is constantly fleeting.Do you really want to spend what little time you have on this beautiful earth worrying about something you won't even remember by next week? Don't be silly, get out there and enjoy life. You've got it pretty good, I'd bet.Don't waste it on needless worry.

Develop Better Relationships with Neighbors
Good neighbors are a lot like electricity or running water:we don’t know how much we depend on them until we don’t have them. They make our lives more pleasant and give us a sense of who we wrte, both as an individual and as a member of the community. Here is how to develop your relationships with these very important people in your life. _________ Often neighbors don’t even know each other’s names. But it’s okay to be the one to break the ice , even if you’ve lived next door for years. Most neighbors enjoy making small talk with the folks on the other side of the fence. So as you see them at work in their yards, smile, wave, and say hello. Ask how their kids are (whether they’re babies or in college), whether they could use an extra cucumber from your garden, or what they think of the price at the local supermarket.
_________ These days, the old Welcome Wagon is a thing of the past. But your new neighbors may be feeling lonely and unsure, especially if they’re far from home, and might appreciate a friendly face bearing fresh-baked chocolate cakes. If they have kids, tell them where the children in the neighborhood live. Recommend the best places to eat and sleep. Invite them over for coffee or tea when they get settled, give them your number, and point to your house as you say good-bye.
__________ Return anything that you borrow from a neighbor, such as tools, in good repair and as soon as you’ve finished with them. Replace anything that belongs to your neighbor that you, your children, or your pets break or soil. Make sure that your car is not blocking their doorway. Such random acts of consideration will have your neighbors talking—and the talk will be good.
__________ If you value a friendship with your neighbors, spend time with them. What better wayto meet your neighbors than to invite them to an informal barbecue, pool party, or holiday open house? Better yet, you might even consider throwing a get-together in their honor. Deliver the invitations in person to everyone who lives on your street and chat with each for five minutes before moving on to the next house. This way, you will get an idea of what your neighbors are like so that you can plan for appropriate food and music.
___________ In a good relationship, it’s really the little things that count. Help to bring in the mail for the elderly neighbor when there is a heavy rain. When your neighbor gorgets to take in his rubbish cans, roll them back into his yard. If you’re truly concerned, you’ll know when your neighbor needs some cheering up—a bunch of flowers or a helping hand when it’s needed. All it takes to developyour relationship with neighbors is the respect for their feelings.

Tips for Cooking on a Tight Schedule
From my experience , there are three main reasons why people don’t cook more often :ability , money , and time .Money is a topic I’ll save for another day .So today I want to give you some wisdom about how to make the most of the time you spent in the kitchen .Here are three tips for great cooking on a tight schedule :
Think ahead .The moments when I think cooking is a pain are when I’m already hungry and there’s nothing ready to eat .So think ahead of the coming week .When will you have time to cook ?Do you have the right materials already ? .
Make your time worth it .When you do find time to cook a meal , make the most of it and save yourself time later on .Are you making one loaf of bread ? .It takes around the same amount of time to make more of something .So save yourself the effort for future meal .
This may surprise you , but one of the best tools for making cooking worth your time is experimentation .It gives you the chance to hit upon new ideas and recipes that can work well with your appetite and schedule. The more you learn and the more you try, the more ability you have to take control of your food and your schedule.
Hopefully that gives you a good start. _______ And don’t let a busy schedule discourage you from making some great changes in the way you eat and live!
A.Try new things. |
B.Ability is easily improved. |
C.Make three or four instead. |
D.Understand your food better. |
E. Cooking is a burden for many people.

I grow up in a very big family. My parents have raised twelve kids and I am their first-born. It has been my duty to help my mom take care of my brothers and sisters. To handle them, often I have to organize an outdoor activity, like a softball game. I must say that I have the potential to work as an instructor.
Last year, my dog got crippled after losing the fight to my neighbor’s bulldog. I rinsed its wound with some lotion and tied its leg with a stick. I had him take medicine every day for a full month. Finally he recovered. I think I can help the elderly and the disabled as well. I feel so good when I can offer help.
I am a film buff. A big fan of Antonio Banderas. He is so wild and charming. Because of him, I fell in love with Spain. The Latin dance and the bullfight are really exciting. Oh, if only I could stay in Spain as an exchange student! I would be learning Spanish so well that I can watch a Spanish film with the dubbing.
I had the experience of working as a social worker in Switzerland last summer. I love the country and its people. There are great mountains for climbers and the local people are so nice to strangers. I helped the kids with their English. My teaching skills improved greatly during my stay. Now I’m well prepared to work as a language instructor.
I spent my gap year traveling all over Africa last year. It was definitely an eye- opening experience. The exotic clothes and tribal dances of the people really fascinated me. But I was most amazed by the wildlife there. I really took great pleasure in watching those animals hunting their prey. You know, I specialize in zoology, and I’m a good observer.
