Tina and I had been good friend for years. We often did things together, so one day Tina didn’t talk to me and just sat by herself. I don’t know what was wrong. I thought about what I had done and said recent. Was Tina upset because I had done well in the history test than her? No, she was happy that I did well in school. I decided find out what was the matter. John was visiting he 90-year-old grandpa, who lived in the country. In the first morning of the visit, John grandpa prepared a breakfast of bacon and eggs. John noticed some dirt on his plate, and asks, “Are these plate clean?” His grandpa replied, “They’re as cleaner as cold water can get them. Just go ahead and finish your meal.” For lunch, Grandpa made hamburgers. Again, John has found the plates were dirty, but he asked the same question. Without looking up, his grandpa gave same answer. Later, as John was left, his grandpa’s dog started to growl(咆哮), and wouldn’t let him pass. Grandpa shouted at the dog, “Cold Water, go lie down!”

I often dream of being a teacher. I dream of standing in the platform in the classroom and give lessons to lovely boys and girls. I teach them, play with them, watch them growing up. I am always young when I was staying with them. I know there is not easy to be a teacher. Without enough knowledges

Music is the international language．The songs sung or playing by instruments are beautiful
to people everywhere． Popular music in America is that every student likes．Students carry
small radios with earphones, but listen to music before class, after class, and at lunch．There
are other kinds music that are important to Americans．One is called folk music, it tells stories
about common life of Americans．Another is called western or country music, started by
cowboys whom would sing to the cows they were watching out．Today, any music about the
love between a country boy and his girl friend are called western or country music．
