I watch TV until nearly 12 o’clock, so I could not go over my lessons. This morning I got up very late that I had to hurry to school without breakfast. Yet I was late for the first class. When I entered the classroom, the maths teacher also had to stop explaining an important problem, and all the eyes fixed upon me. My face turned red. Something even bad happened on me in the English class. The teacher asked me to recite the text, but I could speak nothing but sorry, because I did not spend any times preparing my lessons. The teacher looked at me coldly. I stood at my bench, not dare to raise my head. What a terrible day I had! I will never do something like this again.

My swimming experience is extreme interesting. There was a time when I swim like a rock. This went on till one day when I was fishing with a friend of mine at nearby pond. I slipped into one. Had my friend not come to my rescue, I would have been drowned. Ever since then, I had come to know the importance of learning to swim. I didn’t attend at any training class but learned it all by myself. Strange to say, I have difficult swimming at all now. Though the way I swim look awkward (笨拙的), at least it can keep me from floating. Thinking of this, I feel quite satisfying.
Early this morning we were waiting eager at the school gate for two American guests．They were from an university in New York．All of them were going to give us a lecture．At half past seven，Mr.．Jackson，along by his assistant，arrived．As long as their car stopped，we all went up and said hello to them．Then followed our headmaster，they came to the lecture room in there they gave us a lecture on “American Culture”and another one on “American Senior High School”．They spoke slowly，clearly and loudly，so they could understand most of the lectures．The lectures had interested us a lot．Before that we had a free talk with them and many questions．

I just come back from Britain last week. I was luckily enough to be one of the student from different countries to visit the UK from Feb.16 to 28. We paid a visit to many places, like London, Oxford or the Lake District. I learned much about British culture and history in London, where was my favorite. I also liked Oxford, in which I saw much more old buildings. The Lake District was beautiful, but it was pity that it rained heavily when they were there. The most excited thing for me in the Britain was that I made a lot of friends there.

College students have a little ways to pay their college fees. Many students have their parents to
pay the fees. Some students may apply to a bank loan and others will try to find part-time jobs in
and out of the campus. Apart from this, many good student can win a scholarship. By this way
they can pay at least part of the fees. As for me, I will let my parents pay half of their fees because
they are rich enough. Beside my study, I will take up a part-time job by teach some high school
students maths, physics, chemistry and English, as I’m very good at these important subjects. Of
course I will also work very hard at my lessons in order to I can easily win a scholarship.

My classmate Liu Hui looks tired this week. This morning, I asked him if he had trouble in fall asleep. He said no and explained how he looked tired. “I want to do well on my studies, so I have been stayed up these days,” he said. Hearing that, I became worrying. “Staying up may not help you at all. If you want to study well, you should have had a good sleep every night,” I said. Though he disagreed with me. He believed that if he studied for two more hour every night, he would catch up others. I said nothing more but I’m sure he will realize what I told them is true one day.
