I just came back from Britain last week．I was luckily enough to be one of the students from different country to visit the UK from Feb．16 to 28．We paid a visit to a good many of places, like London, Oxford or the Lake District．I learned much about British culture and history in London, where was my favorite．I also liked Oxford, in which I saw much more old buildings．The Lake District was beautiful, but it was pity that it rained heavily when they were there．The most excited thing for me in Britain was that I make a lot of friends there．

I am a Senior 1 student, often quarrelled with my mother over that I can watch TV after school. My mother held the view that students in Senior High School are so busy to spare any time to watch TV. It seems to her that once I allowed to do that I will forget all about my study. She also thinks that is bad for my eyes to watch TV too often. But I really can’t receive her ideas. I think it is relaxing to watch TV after day’s hard work. Not only can it relax my mind, and it can broaden my knowledge. Now we have at last reached an agreement that I can only watch TV at weekends, and the programs should be limited for news and programs of sports and science.

Did you enjoy yourself yesterday? I suppose you do. But I’d like to tell you what a bad day I had yesterday. Nothing just went wrong. On the morning, my alarm clock didn’t ring, since I woke up an hour late. I was in such a hurry that I burnt my hand when I was cooking the breakfast. Then I ran out of the house to catch the 8:30 buses. This is the bus I usually take. But I missed it of course. I am very unhappy, and scared as well because teacher hates the students coming late to school. So I ran three miles to school only to discover that nobody were there. The school was quiet but peaceful. Our classroom was locked. I realized that moment: It was Sunday.

Wang Jun likes writing very much. He often said he
wants to a great author in the future. In order to make
his dream come truly, he spends a lot of time writing.
Therefore, he doesn’t do well on his studies. He says if he
spends too many time on his schoolwork, then he won’t
have enough time leaving for writing. Our head teacher is
worried about us. She thinks he should spend more time on
his studies. She had a conversation with him the last week,
but he didn’t follow with her advice. We all should have a
dream, so I don’t think we should give up our studies for it.
