It can be seen, more and more people own mobile phones in China now. At the end of 2002, there were 20 millions mobile phone users. By 2005 a number reached up to 30 million. People have found mobile phones convenience. They can get in touch to each other whenever and wherever they like. There’re different functions to meeting different needs, such as surf the Internet. However, it may bring us some trouble. For an example, the radiation from the phone may do harm our health. In spite of this, the number of people having mobile phones are increasing steadily.

Recently, as the development of the Internet, there is a kind of language calling Web language. Some people even speak Chinese mixed with English letters. The other day our class had a discussion about if we should welcome the Web Language.
Forty percent of the students think it ridiculous. In their opinions, it does no good to help people communicate, nor is it useful for learning English. Besides, it’ll make Chinese more standard and pure, finally ruining our mother tongue. However, 69% of our class is fond of it. They think it is simple, convenient and helpful in expressing them. What’s more, it may make the language more interesting.
Personally, it’s not good habit to use the Web language. It may be popular, but you may also make yourself be misunderstood.

I went to Shanghai Expo on last week. At the gate I happened to meet some America tourists. I greeted him in English and then we began to chat. I got to know that they were college students travel in China. They were busy with taking pictures and were much impressed with the changes had taken place in the past few years. After which, we visited China Pavilion and had a good time. We exchanged our email address so that we could write to each other on the future. They thanked me again and again. I was very glad to have a chance to practising my oral English.
Last Saturday, mom and I went to buy a down jacket for my grandpa. When we got to a big store, we saw down jackets of vary colours and styles. There were so many of them that it spent us quite a while to decide which one to buy. Finally, under the help of the shop assistant, he selected a black thick jacket for grandpa. Immediately, we returned back home to show it to my grandpa. Seeing it, he was very happy and couldn’t wait to put on. But we were annoying to find something was wrong with the zipper. Hurriedly, I took it back to the store and explained the shop assistant the problem To my satisfaction, she is very kind and helped me choose another one patiently. Stand in front of the mirror, my grandpa looked at himself in the new coat, smiling contently. How delighted I was!

On January 5th, students in our school visited Robot World, which we saw a great diversity of robot. It was amazed to find those robots could do a great number of things just like real people, including playing chess, playing piano and drawing pictures. What’s more, the robots were in different kinds and shapes, which made us enjoyable .In addition, that excited me most was the show given by a group of robots .They danced just as if they are dancers on the stage. By visiting Robot World, I have learned a lot of about robots, especial about their functions and shapes. The great human wisdom is so powerful that it make us feel more comfortable live in the world.
