I was real nervous when I got to my new school. I grabbed our bag and walked down toward the dormitory building. With my joy, I got warm welcome, and was shown to my room. After setting down my stuff and chose my bed, I was led to the Fog room. I saw some girl sitting in the middle of the floor, played games. A girl saw me, but she said, “Pleased to meet you.” Everyone had turned around, came running at me and formed a circle around me. After a while, I sat down by Hailey, that was my first friend there.

I have been planning to join in our college basketball team next year, so now I am spending as more time as I can with other people who likes to play. They are teaching me the most important rules and technologies of the game, and I am getting the better all the time. We have a neighborhood team that play against other teams in the area. One of my neighbors is helping rest of us improved our skills. Tonight we are playing against one of the best teams in the city, and I think we can win them if we won't make any mistakes.

All of us know the old saying “Practice make perfect.” It tells us unless we want to realize our aim, we should practise, and one day we will make it. It’s easy to understand. Once I wanted to learn swimming. At first I found difficult to control my body. I just sank into the water. I feel very frightened. Then I watched others who were good at them and asked them the key to succeed. I went to the swimming pool every day, learned from them and practised. A day, when my friend pushed me into the swimming poo1, I sudden found that I could swim. How exciting I was! Now I can swim much more better than before.

fixed upon me. My face turned red. Something even worse was happened to
me in English class. The teacher asked me to recite the text, yet I could speak
nothing but sorry, for I did not spend any time preparing my lessons. The
teacher looked at me with his coldly eyes. I stood at my bench without dare
to raise my head. How a terrible day I had! I will never do anything like this.

My classmate, Hanks, have been sick in hospital for a week. Yesterday our class
decided send him some flowers and asked me to buy the flowers. I have had a hard time get them since then. I went to town immediate after class yesterday afternoon only to find the flowers shop there already closed. So I returned with nothing. I called it many times at this morning, but the line was always busy. While I finally got through at noon, a lady said she was a new hand and can not tell me the prices. Luckily, I haven’t classes this afternoon, and I am about go to town again. I must get the flowers for Hanks today.
