A gathering of more than 700 oriental storks(东方白鹳)was recorded at Naolihe National Nature Reserve in Heilongjiang Province last month. Such a big gathering has been seen before in the reserve. The researchers had often recorded only about 150 in the past autumns. Now the population of the large white birds for black wing feathers and long legs are estimated at 3.000 in the world. It is certain a sign that the reserve’s conservation is better now and before. The reserve is considered it as one of the most important stopover site for oriental storks. The storks winter in it and the researchers will keep a eye on the birds until you fly away.

I often quarrel about my mother over whether I can watch TV after school. She holds the view that senior students have to make a full use of every minute to work hardly at their lessons. It seems to me that once I am allowed to do that, I’ll be unable to control myself and forgot all about my study. She also thinks it is bad for my eye. But I really can accept her ideas.
In my opinion, watch TV can set my mind at rest after a day’s hard work. Beside, it is important for us to know that has happened at home and abroad. Thus, we shouldn’t be forbidden to watch TV.

Last evening, I went to teahouse with my best friend Susan. Before the tea was serving, we talked to each other happily. When the waiter went to us with the tea, we didn’t see him. Unfortunately, Susan rose her hand to comb her hair just while the waiter bent to put the plate on the table. His hand hit the cup, and the tea was spattered (溅) on her trousers. In my surprise, instead of complaining, Susan smiled, “So lucky that it’s not on my shirt, and I can’t even clean it.” Her words were very inspired. We cannot foresee what will happen, but looking at it in a positive way can make us be happy.
