This is the first time that I had been away from home, so I find it hard to live here. How I wish I can turn to Lucy, who once gave me much help! I had trouble with my study in Grade 9. So frustrating was I that I began to play computer games after school, when I should have paid more attention to catching up with others. Beside, I was even caught cheating in the exam, it worried my parents a lot. When asking about the reason why I fell far behind, I was too guilty to say a word. It was then Lucy came to my help, telling me not to give up. To my amazement, I made a great progress. Finally, I even became one of the top student in my class. I must say thanks to Lucy, without whose help I could never have had so good grades.

Union is strength no matter when you’re facing difficulties or in a dilemma. Cooperation plays an important part in getting you out of trouble.
There was a time when I was too proud that I overlooked my classmate, refusing to work together with them. Therefore, it was no doubt that I was left alone, suffering from loneliness and failure. Unfortunately a teacher impressed on me the value of cooperation. From then on, I learned to help others and turn to my friends for the help whenever I had difficulty finish a task on my own. Surely cooperation made a great difference. Now I am getting well with my friends.
My experience has teach me that only if we attach great importance with cooperation, can we go beyond ourselves. As the saying go “United, we stand; divided, we fall.”

As new students at an university in Boston, many of us were unfamiliar with the campus but frequently late for class. One professor, however, was absolute against being late, making clear that no excuse would be acceptable. So when a girl student came in his class one morning late, we expected the worst results. It left the professor so annoying that he demand the reason . “The reason is that my waiting online to buy your new book.” She replied very nervously. Delighted at being admired , the professor asked the rest of the class , “ Well , how were not the rest of you late？”

Dear Editor，
I'm sorry to occupy your precious time, and I really want to tell you anything about the problem of some people keeping too many pets nowadays. I take a problem more and more seriously for the following reason. First of all, as it is known to people, pets make so much noise that it troubled residents a lot. What's more, it is widely accepted that animal waste pollutes the environment, where makes people quite uncomfortable. Many owners like taking their pets to public place where they may frighten children or even bite people. The mostly important is that pets can spread some diseases and this has attracted much attention.
Take all these factors into consideration, I sincerely hope that I can get help from you and expect the media do something for this.

Once a year, a race is held. A lot of cars took part in this race in last year and there had a lot of experiments just before it began. One of the most beautiful car was a Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost. The most usual car was a Benz which had only three wheels. Building in 1885, it was an oldest car in the world. After a great many loud noises, the race began. Many of the cars broke down on the way, but some drivers spent much time under their cars than in it. The winner car reach a speed of forty miles an hour．
