When I first learn to write in English, I ran into much difficulties. The main problem was that I always thought in Chinese and tried to translate everything that I came across it while I was reading into my own language. My teacher advised myself to keep a diary. I followed his advices and put down 100 words or so each day.
Soon I began to enjoy talk to myself as I was learning to express myself with simple English. One day I wrote a story and showed to my teacher. He liked it very much that he read it to the class. All said that the story was a good one. Their words were an great encouragement to me.

Three years ago I failed an important exam in my life and became a student in a ordinary school. Disappointing as I felt at the shabby campus and the poorly-equipped classroom, I found the teachers patiently and considerate. Besides, I enjoyed the friendly atmosphere in class. I decided make the best of it. I worked hard and get along well with my teachers and classmates. Whenever I had difficulties, they were always available. Soon, I became one of the top student in my class, and which greatly increased my confidence and got him motivated.
My experience tell me that it is not what you are given but how you make use for it that determines who you are.
Friendship is very importance. Everyone needs friendship. In all our lives we can’t live without friendship just as we can’t live without air and water. Friendship makes us getting on well with one another to
go ahead under different kind of difficulties in the front of us. But real friendship is no easy to come by. True friendship must be sincerely and be based on understand each other but not on benefits of each other. A good friend can always be a good teacher to us. By his advices we are persuading to go the right way. Therefore more friends we have, the better we can improve ourselves.

Failure is common in our life, and no one can avoid them. When we fail in doing something, we often feel very depressing. Sometime failure can make us lose hearts, so no one is willing to fail. On the contrary, success can bring us sense of pride. If one enjoys his continuous success in his career, he will have confidence to himself. Therefore, failure is the mother of success. A failure doesn’t mean one can never be successfully. Those who they are always afraid of failure will never succeed. I’m so excited and happy to hear that you’re coming to China. Since your trip is schedule for the middle of July, time is no a problem for me because I would be having my summer holiday at that time.
I’ve been very busy recent, for I’ve been prepared for the coming entrance exam, that is vital for me and my future life. Last week, I attended an English speech intending for high school students all over the province and I won first prize. Therefore, I’ve always dreamt of having the opportunity to travel in English-speaking countries like yours to practice and improve my English, as well make friends with people from other countries.
