My grandfather and I enjoy fishing. One Sunday morning we go fishing at a lake. We took ours fishing poles and headed for the lake. As soon as we arrived, so we dropped the lines into the water. Before waiting for about half an hour, I was beginning to get impatiently. I wanted to give up, and my grandfather told me to wait a little longer. Finally, there were a sudden pull at the pole and fish was caught . Within the next few minute, my grandfather also caught a fish. Felt hungry, we built a fire by the lake and barbecued the fish. It was delicious.

His new job meant I had to say goodbye to my classmate, my school or just everything else I love in the world . To make matters bad, now I have to share a room with my younger sister, Maggie. Tomorrow is first day of school. I am awfully tiring, but I know I’ll never fall sleep.

The book I’m reading of talks about afternoon tea in Britain. It is said to have started in the early 1800’s. Have tea in the late agternoon provides a bridge between lunch and dinner, that might not be served until 8 o’clock at night. This custom soon becomes another meal of day. Interesting, it had a connection by the British porcelain(瓷器) industry. Tea in China was traditionally drank from cups without handles. When tea got popular in Britain, there was a crying need for good cup with handles to suit British habits. This made for the grow in the porcelain industry.

I hardly remember my grandmother. She used to holding me on her knees and sing old songs. I was only four when she passes away. She is just a distant memory for me now.

He had a deep voice, which set himself apart from others in our small town, he was strong and powerful. Once a king asked an artist to paint a picture for him. He told the artist he didn’t want to any shadows in the picture, just sunshine, but the artist did so. When the king saw the finish picture, he was disappointed. Without shadows, everything in the picture looked flat and real. The point of the story was that we need both shadows and sunshine to have a completely picture, just as we need both rain and sun to have living world. People, too, need both sadness and happiness. We often learn some important lesson during sad times. So when we feel sad, we should try to stop and think about that we might learn of the experience.

Last Saturday I went to the library as usually. At about noon, I was enjoying my reading near a lake while suddenly I hear someone crying for help. I went up to see what was happening. I was shocking to find a little child struggling in the water in the distance while many peoples were standing by without doing anything. Without any hesitation, I had pushed through the crowd as I took off my coat, but jumped into the water quickly. I managed to reach him and carried him back to safety. To his great relief, the kid saved.
I was proud with what I had done. I hope everyone can give a hand when someone else is in need.
