Li Yan, an official from the National Forestry and Grassland Administration, "The area of wetlands in China has become larger over the past five years, growing by 202, 600 hectares and making a great contribution to water quality and environmental protection. Between 2016 and 2020, China created 201 national wetland parks. China created 201 national wetland parks. China had 899 national wetland parks by the end of 2020, and nearly half of the country's wetlands are protected by some level of government. "

   China is carrying through on the convention for a continuous development and will make continuing efforts to perfect the laws on wetland protection.
