Walter’s goal in life was become a successfully doctor. He knew he had to finish high school first, so he put his heart into his study – in particular, biology, chemistry, and maths. Because he worked hard at these subjects, Walter became good at it. However, Walter forgot that he needed to master some other subjects beside those he had been chosen. As a result, Walter fails both English and Latin in the end of the second school year. But he had to repeat these subjects and he was almost unable to graduate like pawned. Walter learned a good lesson.

Isaac Asimov was an American scientist and a writer who wrote around 480
books that including mystery stories, science and history books, and even books
about the Holy Bible and Shakespeare. So he is best known to his science fiction
stories. Asimov had both an extraordinary imagination that gave him the ability
to explore future worlds and an amazing mind on which he searched
explanations of everything, in the present and the past. Asimov's life began in
Russia, when she was born on 2 January, 1920. It ended in New York on 6 April,
1992, when he died as a result of a HIV infection that he had got from a blood
transfusion nine years early.

Recently, as the development of the Internet, there is a kind of language calling Web language. Some people even speak Chinese mixed with English letters. The other day our class had a discussion about if we should welcome the Web Language.
Forty percent of the students think it ridiculous. In their opinions, it does no good to help people communicate, nor is it useful for learning English. Besides, it’ll make Chinese more standard and pure, finally ruining our mother tongue. However, 69% of our class is fond of it. They think it is simple, convenient and helpful in expressing them. What’s more, it may make the language more interesting.
Personally, it’s not good habit to use the Web language. It may be popular, but you may also make yourself be misunderstood.

I was playing at my cousin house. Since his family was rich than mine, he had more toys than I did. There was one on particular I’d always wanted. I put into my pocket when she wasn’t looking. I guessed, even at that age, I would never be able to enjoy to playing with the toy or faced my cousin again; I would always know I’d done something wrong. Later on, my aunt drove me home. When she dropped me off, I pulled out the toy slow and gave it back. She knows what had happened, but she thanked me and ever mentioned it again.

I always wanted to be great scientist. I had a dream of discovering a new drug that would save hundreds of people’s life. Unfortunately, I was never very well at chemistry at school and the teacher was used to get angry with me. I decided to becoming an inventor and designed an amazing new product. My parents were encouraging, but told me to be a few more realistic. A few weeks late, I had an idea of designing a pen to write in water. In my disappointment, a friend of me pointed out that it was not a new invention.

Li Ming is a student who have been living in Shanghai since he was born．But his grandfather lives in Taiwan, because he went to Taiwan after Shanghai was liberated．He is a merchant．For about half a century, Li Ming’s family have no idea where she lives．They miss him very much．Fortunate, a letter from his grandfather reached them this October, which said that his grandfather would be back Shanghai on December 24th．Li Ming’s parents were such excited about the news that they didn’t sleep well for several nights．So did Li Ming．The day finally came．In December 24th, the family of Li Ming are on their way to the airport．When they met at the last, they gave his grandfather a big hug, tears in their eyes．They got together．
