假如英语课上老师要求同学们交换修改作文,请你修改你同桌写的以下作文。文中共有10处语言错误,要求你在错误的地方增加、删除或修改某个单词。
增加：在缺词处加一个漏字符号（^）,并在其下面写上该加的词。
删除：把多余的词用斜线（\）划掉。
修改：在错的词下划一横线,并在该词下面写上修改后的词。
注意： 1. 每处错误及其修改均仅限一词；
2. 只允许修改10处,多者(从第11处起)不计分。
Like most of my schoolmates, I had neither brothers nor sisters --- in any other words, I am an only child. My parents love me deep of course and will do all they can make sure that I get a good education. They do not want me to do any housework at home, they want me to devote all my time to do my studies so that I’ll get good marks in all my subject. We are one family and live under a same roof, but we do not seem to get many time to talk with each other. It looks as if my parents treated me as a visitor or a guest. Do they really understand their own daughter? What things are in other families, I wonder.

Yesterday, I saw the old lady fall down when I was hurrying to school. I was about to help her up while suddenly a passer-by stop me, saying that I might be accused of knocking her down. Heard his words, I began to hesitate and slow down my steps. At the same time, another student, that saw everything, went up to help. The old lady said nothing but lots of thank to the good boy. I felt ashamed. As is known to all, help others is forever a good virtue. Even though some old people are becoming immorally, we can’t let it to disappear. I have made my mind that I will reach out my hand without hesitation next time.

Tom is a senior two students who devotes himself to his lessons every day. Last Saturday, as usual, he went to several courses. In the evening, he studies at home until deep into the night. He was too sleepy and tired that he couldn’t work effectively. In Sunday morning, Tom was about to study when his father came up and advised him to have break. Soon they had a good idea. They bought a kite which they liked it very much and then the family went to the suburbs where Tom enjoyed fly the kite himself. The family had a picnic together but felt very relaxed in the open air. On Monday, Tom was energetic and actively in class. He said it was only why he had a better weekend.

An old man whose eyesight was failing comes to stay in a hotel, a bottle of whisky in his hand. On the wall was a fly he took for a nail. The moment he tried to hang the bottle on it, they fell and broke. When the landlady discovered what had been happened, she decided to do him favor. The next morning when he was out, the hotel worker hammered a nail exact where the “fly” had been. Before the old man came back, the smell of the whisky reminded him the accident. Looking at the spot what he thought the “fly” was again, he was so angry that he slapped it with all his strengths. On hearing the loud cry, the landlady rushed in. To her surprise, the poor old man was sitting on the floor with his teeth clenched (咬紧) and the palm of his hand bleed.

John, a little boy living next door to me, liked fast food very much. His parents was so busy that they had a little time to cook for him at home. So they often took him eat fast food. That's because John became overweight. My mother had always told his parents that too much fast food was harmful, and they ignored my mother's advices. Recently, the doctor warned him never to eat fast food any more after the poor boy has a physical examination. Her parents came to realize what a terribly mistake they had made. Now John's mother often comes to ask my mother for advice in how to make healthy food.
Mr. Smith had a 8-year-old son named Tony, who enjoyed listening to music very much. So he bought a piano to Tony, hoping that he can become a famous pianist one day. The little boy put her heart into practicing the piano day after day and seemed enjoy every minute of it. However, half a year later, he told his father that he was tiring of practicing the piano. Heard this, Mr. Smith said, “Tony, it is one thing to be fond of listening to music, and it is another thing to perform skillful by yourself. You can never play the piano well even if you don’t practice more.”
