One evening, Helen was preparing her examination in the basement of the house. Her parents had gone out shopping. Suddenly, he heard footsteps on the floor below. Known that she was the only person at home, she was frightened. Obviously, a thief has come in through the window that had been left opened for fresh air. Picking up her courage, Helen took a toy gun from the cupboard and went to upstairs. On her way, she shouted, “George, take the dog out.” To frightened the thief, she turned off some lights. The thief must have heard all the noises but rushed out through the window where he came in. Now, Helen felt somewhat relieved.
Mr. Johnson is a hardworking teacher. Every day, he spends too much time with his work. With little sleep and hardly any break, so he works from morning till night. Hard work have made him very ill. “He has ruined his healthy. We are worried about him.” That is which other teachers say. Yesterday afternoon, I paid visit to Mr. Johnson. I was eager to see him, but outside her room I stopped. I had to calm myself down. Quietly I step into the room. I saw him lying in bed, looking at some of the picture we had taken together. I understood that he missed us just as many as we missed him.

Recently, the phenomenon of teen obesity has made a lot of parents concerning. Why are teens getting fatter and fatter?
In my opinion, there are two reasons of the problem.Firstly, because the popularity of TV and computers and students having such much homework to do, they are getting little exercise than before. Secondly, because people’s quality of life has been gotten better and better, families can afford to buy many foods, that might make the kids overweight.
In order to lose weight and stay healthy, teens should avoid spend too much time in front of the TV or the computer and do more exercise. As the saying go, “An apple a day keeps the doctor away.” They should also eat a more balanced diet such as fruits, vegetables, less fast food and junk food. Last but not the least, they should make a proper time schedule so that they can balance their exercise and studies.

Last Saturday, mom and I went to buy a down jacket for my grandpa. While we got to a big store, we saw down jackets of vary colours and styles. There were so many of them that it spent us quite a while to decide which one to buy. Finally, under the help of the shop assistant, we selected a black thick jacket for grandpa. Immediately, we returned back home to show it to my grandpa. Seeing it, he was very happy and couldn’t wait to put it on. But we were annoying to find something was wrong with the zipper. Hurriedly, I took it back to the store and explained the shop assistant the problem. To my satisfactions, she is very kind and helped me choose another one patiently. Stand in front of the mirror, my grandpa looked at himself in the new coat, smiling contently. How delighted I was!
