As a high school student, I like to talk with foreigners to practise my oral English but learn more about other cultures. There were two foreign teachers in our school in this term. They often go to the English corner so that we can have a chance to practise a language. I seize every chance to talk them. However, I sometime find they are not so interestingin what I say, and it’s hard for I to choose a suitable topic. I would like some advices about howto communicate proper with foreigners, and what topics to pick.

Today, my topic is the valuable of time. Time, like the proverb says, is money. This means that if our time is good spent, it will turn out a lot of useful and important piece of work when the proper opportunity come. Although all time is precious, but the time of our youth is more precious than any period of our existence because this is the period which we can acquire knowledge and develop our abilities. If we allow these morning hours to slip away, we shall never able to make up for the loss.

There are several ways improve our English writing skills, such as keeping a diary, learning any good writings by heart, doing a lot of reading, etc. As for me, I prefer keeping a diary. Comparing with other forms of writing, keeping a diary is easy and take less time. In addition, they can help us form the habit of thinking in English. If we can keep this practice, and we will gradually learn how to express us in English. What’s more, keeping a diary can be as talking with one of our close friend, sharing our happiness or sadness. In the word, keeping a diary is a good way of improving our written English.

Li Han is a good friend of me. He made a deep impression with me the first time we met, and we became good friend. He is tall and thin. When I first met him, it is rainy and cold. He wore a white Tshirt and blue jeans, with a big smile on his face, that made him look sunny. He doesn't look very handsome, but bright. The glasses on his nose made it look bookish. When we talked I discovered that he was full of humorous. Seen that I hadn't brought a umbrella, he shared his, which made me feel warm. He seemed excellent and kind, but I was determined to learn from him.
