Last Saturday I went to the library as usually. At about noon, I was enjoying my reading near a lake while suddenly I hear someone crying for help. I went up to see what was happening. I was shocking to find a little child struggling in the water in the distance while many peoples were standing by without do anything. Without any hesitation, I had pushed through the crowd but jumped into the water quickly. I managed to reach him and carried him back to safety. To his great relief, the kid was saved. I was proud what I had done. I hope everyone can give a hand when someone else is in trouble.

Dear Editor,
I’ m writing to tell you about a food poisoning accident. Several days ago, my neighbor ate a bag of food buying from the market. After the meal, they had stomachaches and their faces turn pale. Fortunately, one of their friends found the accident and immediately called on an ambulance, which carried them quickly to a hospital. After several hours’ treatment they final escaped from death. As some illegal businessmen are only interested on making profits to become rich quickly, we seldom care about the necessary safety measures or care which happens to consumers. They must be charged by law. Meanwhile, I do hope whole society can realize the important of food safety and begin taking action together to make sure food is safe.

Sometimes you feel stressed because of frequently exams. Right? But don’t worry about the problem. Here are some suggestions on what to deal with it. First of all, you should have confidences and hold on to your dreams. It’s important to make a good study plan and carry them out. To stay healthy and energetic,you’d better doing some sports after school, such as playing basketball, swimming or running. Besides, balanced diet is helpful. One year ago, I was in great trouble. I worked hard at English and devote all my spare time to practise it. But I failed to pass the mid-term examination, which made me great disappointed. So I asked my grandpa for advice when I got to home. Hearing that I told him, he said, “To some extent, examination results are sometime unexpected by your study level. You can’t judge your progress by one examination.” He encouraged myself to work hard for long time to check my results. I took my grandpa’s advice. Now I realize that the process of learning is much more important and my English is more better than before. From my experience, I feel that we should listen to opinion from old people.

Nowadays, lots of students plan to study abroad and study abroad has been popular in our country. More and more middle school students would like to go to abroad. Is it good to study abroad? In my opinion, on the one hand, it had some advantages. Studying abroad can provide better studying condition. People can make rapid progress on their foreign language study and it can also help widen their field of view. Beside, young students can learn advancing science and technology from foreign countries and spread cultures of different nations. On the other hand, it has disadvantages. For example, because of lack of living experience and poor capability to take care of themselves, they may feel alone and homesick. Last week I went to visit to my former neighbor, Mr. Li. He and I used to living next to each other for many years. About half a year ago, an order came which the old building, along with many other similar ones, were going to be pulled down to make room for a main street. So I had to move apart. Mr. Li now lives in the suburbs near a beautiful park. His new apartment is much big than before. The only problem is that it took quite a long time to get to the downtown area. Therefore, Mr. Li doesn’t seem to worry about the long distance. He says that new subway line is to be built in a few year and he is sure life will be better in the future.
