To show our love for poor kids lived in mountainous areas, our school hold a special activity last week in our school square. Its purpose was to making sure those poor kids have a warm winter. Last Saturday I went to the library as usually. At about noon, I was enjoying my reading near a lake while suddenly I hear someone crying for help. I went up to see what was happening. I was shocking to find a little child struggling in the water in the distance while many peoples were standing by without do anything. Without any hesitation, I had pushed through the crowd but jumped into the water quickly. I managed to reach him and carried him back to safety. To his great relief, the kid was saved. I was proud what I had done. I hope everyone can give a hand when someone else is in trouble.

Dear Editor，
I'm writing to tell you about a food poisoning accident. Several days ago, my neighbor ate a bag of food buying from the market. After the meal, they had stomachaches and their faces turn pale. Lucky, one of their friends found the accident and immediately called an ambulance, which carried them quickly to a hospital. After several hours' treatment they finally escaped of death.
As some illegal businessmen are only interested in making profits to become rich quickly, we seldom care about the necessary safety measures or which happens to consumers. They must be have charged by law. Meanwhile, I do hope whole society can realize the important of food safety.

One day, I was cooking in the kitchen as the telephone rings. I went to answer it immediately. She was my close friend, Lisa. When we were talking on a phone, the fire alarm sounded. I ran back to the kitchen. The room full of smoke and the beef was badlty burnt. I quickly turned off the gas, opening all the window, and then went out of the house. When we learn English, we always find we have difficulties in remembering the names of the months. Therefore, if we know something about the history of the months, possibly it won't be very harder for us to remember them. The following is one of example. January named after God Janus. He was a strange god because he has two faces. He could look in two directions. He could look forward or backward at the same time. He was the god of endings and beginnings. January is the month on which one looks forward to the new year and it's also a period of time how people think about the past year.
