This is the first time that I had been away from home, so I find it hard to live here. How I wish I can turn to Lucy, who once gave me much help! I had trouble with my study in Grade 9. So frustrating was I that I began to play computer games after school, when I should have paid more attention to catching up with others. Beside, I was even caught cheating in the exam, it worried my parents a lot. When asking about the reason why I fell far behind, I was too guilty to say a word. It was then Lucy came to my help, telling me not to give up. To my amazement, I made a great progress. Finally, I even became one of the top student in my class. I must say thanks to Lucy, without whose help, I could never have had so good grades.

As you know, in China, we call people bear between 1980 and 1989 the post-80s. I am a young guy who belonged to such a group. For our generation, life is getting more difficulty than the former generations. The job market is tough but the house is kind of expensive to afford. Now plenty of girls would prefer to marry man with a house and a car on his own. I don’t think love built on houses and cars are true love. Thus, this is social reality that we have to face.

After school I went to home for supper. When I got home, I found my mother laying in bed，she was ill. Unluckily, my father was away from home in business. “What shall I do?” I thought to me. Since Mother was ill, I must take well care of her. So I decided to try cooking by myself. I did the cooking with great difficulty but it got burnt at last. I had thought Mother would never like. Yesterday morning, it was already 7:30 that I got up. Thinking I would be late,
